A Modern Engine Factory in East Africa to be constructed

The construction of a new mega modern engine factory in Ethiopia has commenced. The Ethiopian government is constructing a new engine factory that can manufacture different types of engines.
The industrial unit is set to manufacture about twenty to thirty thousand different types of engines for tractors, cars, trucks, building industry machines and other small engines annually.
The engine factory is under construction in Mekelle, Regional State of Tigray. The manufacturing plant rests on a 30 hectares piece of land and 90 % of the construction is already completed.
Power Engineering Industry official Amanuel Abraha said the factory will be ready to commence production by November 2015.
The Power Engineering Industry was established 5 years ago with 200,000 Birr investment and 46 workers. Currently, it has five billion Birr capital with 10,000 employees
The engine factory will create job opportunities for more than fifteen hundred Ethiopian citizens. This will reduce the population rate of the unemployed citizens in Ethiopia therefore reducing crime the rate which is brought by unemployment .
This type of project will develop the Ethiopian market holistically .Due to the many opportunities it has at hand.
This kind of factory will advance the technology sectors of Ethiopia and it will enable citizens to have good and long-lasting car and truck engines. leading to easy transport and maintenance of the cars
Trade will be a major benefit for Ethiopia because many countries will want to import the engines from the mega engine factory in Ethiopia. Making Ethiopia one of the leading exports of quality engines in Africa.
